From the participants:

The workshop helped me think of storytelling as a process which involved not only photography but other mediums as well. What I will probably take away from here is the way to bring coherence to a story or series in terms of content as well as form and how to edit your story, where what to include to further the narrative is as important as what to leave out. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to broaden their photographic horizons - Hoshner Reporter.

Let me start with saying that this has been such an enriching experience. I came into the workshop hoping to understand story telling with visuals, what I got was much much more. I firstly, got better clarity as to what my personal theme has been and why! Which is such a big gift of clarity. Secondly, with you being so open about your challenges/ learnings and also sharing such beautiful personal work. It created such a strong safe space that it just did not allow me but also other participants to work on personal stories. This also allowed me to see that when one shares something personal and honest work, automatically it becomes unique and creative!! Thirdly, you were immensely generous with the way you shared your knowledge and expertise! The artist that you introduced us to, completely opened up the way I think of photography and the possibilities to tell one’s story! - Priti Shah Ganatra.

This is something very similar to what we did in my MFA classes. We would look at a lot of artists and their works and sometimes their processes. And that immediately got me super excited and motivated. And you being super vulnerable and sharing your work and experiences just made it better. It helped with validating my own process and trusting my own thoughts - Vaishnavi Patil.

Vinod’s storytelling workshop was a deeply enriching experience that blended multiple artistic mediums stories, films, emotional narratives, and personal insights into a powerful learning journey. The way he guided us through different works and real-life experiences made the process both engaging and meaningful. One of the most impactful aspects was witnessing how a single photograph can evolve into a compelling series, transforming simple visuals into layered stories. It truly changed the way I perceive and approach photography. - Ranadheer B.

Thanks for this workshop, now I look at photography in a different way, trying to find meaning and connecting a series of photos to bring some meaning to it. Never ever knew about these many photographers and their work style. Loved every minute of your classes. Looking forward to more such workshops - Kavita Aika.

I never had this idea of editing table. The rigorous process of selecting and arranging the images is another thing I have learnt from this workshop. So basically I need to implement the ideas I got from here in my future work with my own style. And how can I forget about the people I have met there. I wish there was someone from North East to make the whole group a mini India. - Madhbendu Hensh.
