Vinod Venkapalli is a visual artist based in Hyderabad, India. Working between documentary photography and subjective storytelling, his practice draws from personal experiences of loss, memory, faith, and the body. His long-term projects explore family, absence, belief, and the social realities of contemporary India.

His work was recently exhibited at KG+ Select, Kyoto, and he is part of the curatorial team of the Indian Photography Festival. He is a recipient of the Toto Photography Award.

His work has been exhibited, projected, and screened at more than ten International festivals and galleries including Head On Photo Festival, Auckland Festival of Photography, Eyes on Main Street (USA), Gather Art (Taiwan), Street Photo Thailand, Focus Photography Festival, Glasgow Visual Arts Festival, Blow up -Angkor Projections, Indian Photography Festival and Serendipity Arts Festival.

Alongside his personal practice, Vinod works as a freelance photojournalist, with photographs published in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and several other international publications.

His photographs and projects have also appeared in publications such as PDN POTD, LensCulture, The Caravan Magazine, Quarentena Galeria, Better Photography Magazine, and ISP Magazine to name a few. In addition to his practice, Vinod has delivered talks and guest lectures at institutions and platforms including the Indian Photography Festival, RR Centre for Photography, Loyola Academy, Hamstech, and Symbiosis. Vinod also was twice awarded the Telangana State Award.
